Can anyone shop in the Wine Store?

Yes! We welcome all to peruse the Wine Store for great deals on award winning wines featured in our wine of the month clubs. All wines are discounted off their original winery retail pricing, meaning you will save on each bottle purchased. Wine Club members and Gift Givers save even more and the more you buy, the bigger the discount!.

Ok, here’s the fine print: Title to, and ownership of, all wine passes from seller to buyer in the State of California, and buyer takes all responsibility for shipping the wine from California to his or her home state. By placing an order, buyer authorizes seller to act on buyer’s behalf in arranging for transportation of the wine at the buyer’s direction. Alternatively, buyer may choose to pick up the wine at seller’s location, or make independent shipping arrangements. Sales tax will be applied based on the seller’s location. Seller makes no representation as to the legal rights of anyone to ship or import any wines, alcoholic beverages, or other goods into any state. The buyer is solely responsible for the shipment of wine and other goods purchased and for determining the legality and the tax/duty consequences of having the wine and other goods shipped to the applicable destination. Alcoholic beverages may only be sold and delivered to persons who are at least 21 years old and the person to whom delivery will be made is at least 21 years old. An adult signature is required at time of delivery. By submitting your order electronically you are signing that you have read and understand the above conditions.

What are my payment options when giving wine club gifts?

You can choose to pre-pay for your entire membership/gift with a one-time payment OR you can choose an ongoing membership, which means you pay on a month-to-month basis. Wine Club members save 5%-20% off our regular low prices for ‘Pay-in-Full’ gifts, depending on Wine Club selection and the length of the gift membership.

How do I end my month-to-month Wine Club membership?

Before you decide to cancel your month-to-month Wine Club membership, we offer a number of options that you should be aware of before making the call. First of all, your wine can be shipped every-other-month or quarterly if you find yourself acquiring too much wine with monthly shipments (we don’t know how this ever happens!). You can have your wine delivered to your vacation or temporary location. You can also tell us to hold your shipments to delay delivery until a future time. If you decide to cancel your wine of the month club, there are no cancellation fees, and no obligations. Go online to Contact Us, and send us your request, or call 1-800-266-8888 8am-5pm PST to reach a customer service representative.

How are your wines selected?

Virtually every wine we feature has earned a medal of excellence or high rating from major wine industry competitions and national publications. For more info, see our Wine Ratings page.

Why aren’t the “Enjoy Until” dates included on the monthly Wine Club newsletters and what is the timeframe I should follow for drinking my wines?

The “Enjoy Until” dates are not included on our newsletters because (after nearly 30 years of sending out millions of wine boxes) we found that those dates were not 100% accurate, meaning that the wines featured in our monthly Wine Clubs could be enjoyed well beyond those dates. All of the wines we send to you are drinkable now but can also be cellared and enjoyed at a later date. Although the aging potential and aging quality is subjective to each bottle, our general guideline, if you decide to cellar your wines, is that White wines can be enjoyed 5+ years from the vintage date and Red wines 10+ years from the vintage date of the bottle.

How does the Wine Club Members Rewards Program work?

Everyone saves money shopping in our Wine Store. If you are currently giving or receiving wine from one of our six wine of the month clubs, you save even more with our instant Membership Rewards. Each increment of six bottles ordered earns Wine Club members bigger discounts off of your entire wine store purchase. Basically, the more you buy, the more you save. . . you can Save as much as $100! There is a two bottle minimum per wine unless specified differently. Wine Club Member Rewards do not apply to Sale or Special wines.

Does my Instant Savings depend on my Wine Club Membership Level?

Yes it does.

  • 2 BOTTLE Members receive instant rewards during check-out of $10-$80 depending on the number of bottles purchased 
  • 4+ BOTTLE Members receive instant rewards during check-out of $15 to $100 depending on the number of bottles purchased

How do I see my Wine Club Membership Level and Instant Rewards?

To see your Wine Club Member Level and Instant Rewards, LOGIN to your account, go to the Wine Store and look on the right-hand side of the page. You will see your membership level and the discounts you get.

As a Wine Club Charter Member do I receive an extra discount?

Yes, if you were fortunate to have become a member at the time we started the DiamondPinot Noir or Garagiste Wine Clubs, you will receive an additional 5% off your wine store purchase at check-out as long as your membership is active.
